Human progress is our cause, liberty of thought our supreme wish, freedom of conscience our mission, and the guarantee of equal rights to all people everywhere our ultimate goal.
In 1980, the Oregon Scottish Rite Masons created a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with the mission of helping language-impaired children experience the joy of expressing ideas and being clearly understood. We partner primarily with major Oregon universities to address:
The Oregon Scottish Rite Speech and Language Charity is dedicated to becoming a valuable resource throughout Oregon and a model for Rite Care nationally. The OSRSLC intends to accomplish this by forming on-going relationships with Oregon's universities that have Master's-level programs for speech and language pathologists.
Working together with Oregon's universities and other organizations, OSRSLC's aim is to aid in the development and delivery of current and/or unique statewide programs that serve young children with communication disorders regardless of income in every geographic area in Oregon. The work of the OSRSLC will be funded by earnings on investments, donations, wills, and bequests and, at no time, shall our investment corpus be invaded to support or sustain existing programs or grow new ones.
